May the grace and peace of God be with all those who visit the website of the General Assembly of PCK.

Today, we live in a rapidly changing society. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, worship services have been in a state of stagnation, the younger generation is dwindling, and fewer church members are attending services. Most concerning is the deepening trend of secularization, leading many believers to leave the churches.

In such times, we must once again bow before God and pray earnestly for the power of the Holy Spirit. With this resolve, the theme for the 109th General Assembly is "The Church Revived by the Power of the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 37:14, Acts 9:31)." We must confess and repent for our pride and complacency, relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to hold on to God’s Word and commit ourselves to prayer.

We must again dream of revival. We need to trust in God’s power that causes dry bones to come to life, sinews to grow, and the breath of life to fill them, enabling them to rise again. Though the early church faced persecution, martyrdom, and many trials, the gospel spread ever further, and wherever the gospel was preached, the power of the Holy Spirit manifested and churches were built. It is my earnest prayer that the 109th General Assembly will become a turning point for revival, not only in our Church but throughout the entire churches in Korea, as the winds of the Holy Spirit blow through us.

I pray that God’s strength and grace will overflow upon all those who dedicate themselves to praying for the PCK, as well as upon the 69 presbyteries, 9,473 churches, and 2.2 million members.

The 109th Moderator of the PCK
