Greeting Message from the 108th Moderator of
the Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK), Rev. Dr. Eui Sig Kim

After COVID-19, the Korean church is facing a time of crisis. However, it is not the time for us to be discouraged and frustrated by the stagnation of the Korean church and only blame the surrounding environment. We see the current crisis as God's opportunity. It is a time that must be used as a turning point. Therefore, it is time for all the churches under the General Assembly to join together and stand up.

When all the churches under the General Assembly stand up together, we can more powerfully carry out local evangelization, national salvation, and missions to all nations. It will be of great use. This 108th General Assembly seeks to ignite the hearts of pastors and elders with confessions of contrition, determination in faith, and a desire for revival.

Through this 108th General Assembly, it is time for us to put an end to the discord and division caused by the wounds of the past and for our churches, which have stagnated due to COVID-19, to forgive and reconcile the big and small hate and hatred of the past and rise together. If we do not join forces, we will only divide ourselves in the face of the continued attacks of external liberalism, secularism, humanism, and pseudo-heresy, and there is no way to stop them (Galatians 5:13-15).

How many tasks exist for us to work together to evangelize the region, save the nation, and do missionary work to all nations? Now is the time to follow God's commands, forgive and reconcile with anyone, and strive to maintain the unity of the Holy Spirit with humility, gentleness, and long suffering.

Now is the time for healing, starting with ourselves and our families, churches, and society. Thus, in the last days, it is time to show the dark and corrupt world a grace more precious than the law, a love more touching than criticism, and a sacrifice more exemplary than condemnation.

Only in this way will our General Assembly be healed and restored, and with the united power of this time when the end is imminent, we will be able to save the world, reach the ends of the earth, carry out the mission of the truth of the gospel, and stand before the Lord without shame. I pray that God’s healing will come to all of us through the 108th General Assembly.

The 108th Moderator of the PCK
