According to the will of Jesus Christ, it is organized to serve faithfully by doing mission, education and service, both in Korea and abroad. It cultivates policies and businesses to empower women leadership and improve women participation in church lives so it can work together to accomplish God's will in the lives of families, churches, communities and the world.
Its starting point was in 1898 in Pyungyang where 63 women believers organized the Korea Presbyterian Women to start their missionary work for the first time. After that in September, 1928, according to the constitution which was approved by the General Assembly, it established the Women Association of the Presbyterian Church in Chosun which is the forerunner of the National Organization of the Korean Presbyterian women and 11 local associations were active at that time.

It survived even during the times of national suffering such as the Japanese Imperialism and the Korean War. It continued its mission, participated in the National Independence Movement and it had a strong sense of mission and made every effort to reconstruct churches, extend the kingdom of God with a nation-loving spirit.
